A new program at York Indoor Golf & Training Center combines technology and experienced PGA golf professionals.

The Operation 36 Junior Golf Program is designed to give junior golfers ages 7 to 18 the opportunity to learn, practice and play. It introduces golf to new players and encourages growth for more-experienced players.

"The goal of the program is to teach kids to be able to shoot par (36 strokes) or better for nine holes," says PGA pro Matt Keller. "This is a nice program because it becomes progressively more difficult.

The game is high-tech at York Indoor Golf, located in York City at 807 Loucks Road, behind Royer's Flowers.

Cameras, sensors and video screens capture the golfer's swing, how the club connects with the ball and the ball's flight path. Golfers alsocan play a virtual round on one of more than 30 golf courses, including some of the top PGA and international courses.

"At the heart of everything we do is teaching, coaching and instruction," says Keller.
