Susquehanna: Flood watch extended through Monday afternoon

Staff report

A flood watch has been extended through the afternoon of Monday, Jan. 22, for York and Lancaster counties, according to the National Weather Service.

Flooding is possible from ice jams along the Susquehanna River below York Haven, and minor flooding is possible close to Lake Clarke on the York County side, the weather service warned.

The flood watch initially was in effect through Saturday, Jan. 20.

The weather service advises residents to obey all road closure signs and don't attempt to drive through flooded areas.
