Tree-lighting to close Spring Grove's traffic circle
Spring Grove's traffic circle will close briefly Thursday evening for the borough's Christmas Tree-lighting celebration, according to police.
The traffic circle will be closed between about 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, for the annual event, according to Southwestern Regional Police.
Spring Grove's tree-lighting ceremony begins at 6 p.m. at the Hoke House, which is located at the borough's traffic circle in the 400 block of North Main Street, police said.
Santa Claus will ride into town on a fire truck, and the celebration will also feature a live reindeer, Christmas carolers, crafts and food.
Although the celebration is slated to last until about 8 p.m., the traffic circle is expected to be closed for only about 30 minutes, according to police.
Police ask drivers to find alternative routes between 7:30 and 8 p.m.
