Fire officials have blocked off portions of Taxville Road in West Manchester Township for a police incident, they said.

The incident began about 3:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17, in the 1200 block of Taxville Road, according to the York County 911 Center's live-incident status webpage, known as WebCAD.

Township Manager Kelly Kelch said someone barricaded him- or herself inside a home, and that there are reports the person could be armed with a gun.

At about 4:30 p.m., Taxville Road was closed between Loucks Road and Marion Street. Police were redirecting traffic, including a school bus, going from Taxville Road at Catherine Street.

The road reopened shortly after.

An officer with the department said he had no comment on the incident but confirmed everyone was alright at about 5:30 p.m.

Check back later for updates.
