Defensive-driving course offered by Northern Regional PD

The Northern York County Regional Police Department is offering the National Safety Council's defensive driving program to local drivers in December.
The eight-hour, one-session class will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at police headquarters, 1445 E. Canal Road in Dover Township.
The class is limited to 30 people and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, according to police.
The course is open to drivers age 16 and older who have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license and also is open to drivers age 55 and older who have attended a "Coaching the Mature Driver" program, which previously has been offered by Northern Regional Police.
Registration deadline is Wednesday, Dec. 13.
To register, call police at 717-292-3647 between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, or fill out a registration form at the station during those hours.
