I-83 south reopens after rig jackknifed at Leader Heights exit

State police said the crash scene has been cleared and both southbound lanes of I-83 have reopened.

That happened about 12:15 p.m., according to police.

The southbound lanes of Interstate 83 remain closed at the Leader Heights Road exit (Exit 14) in York Township for a tractor-trailer crash, according to state police.

The crash happened about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, according to the York County 911 Center.

As of 11:30 a.m., the southbound lanes were still closed.

The rig jackknifed, according to police.

At 9:45 a.m., state police said a tow truck was on the way.
