Watershed Stewards spend day on the Chesapeake Bay

York Dispatch

The York County Master Watershed Stewards, of the Penn State Extension Service, spent Saturday, Sept. 16, aboard the Chesapeake Bay Foundation skipjack “Stanley Norman.”

While on the Bay, they learned about the history and ecology of the Bay, and its relationship with clean water efforts in southcentral Pennsylvania. They also joined in hoisting the mainsail and learned about critters taken aboard and then released after bringing in the trawl net.
