A morning apartment building fire Saturday, Sept. 2, in Windsor Township displaced 10 people, according to a fire company chief.

The blaze at 2560 Freysville Road was reported at about 9:30 a.m., according Yoe Fire Co. Chief Rick Searle.

The fire started in one of the three apartments, although the chief said the entire building is a total loss.

Six adults and four children were displaced by the fire, and a pet rabbit died in the blaze, Searle said.

York Area United Fire and Rescue and fire companies from Red Lion and Dallastown and Windsor and York townships fought the fire.

A fire marshal will investigate to determine the cause of the fire, Searle said.
