QUARRYVILLE, Pa. — Police say a Pennsylvania man who was upset he failed to kill another man he shot in the chest earlier this week returned the next day and shot him in the head. The victim survived both attacks.

Robert Sheets, of Quarryville, is charged with two counts of attempted homicide and a warrant is out for his arrest.

According to an affidavit obtained by LNP, the injured man went with 29-year-old Sheets to a home around midnight Monday. He says Sheets took him into the woods and shot him the back. The man says he awoke hours later and yelled for help. That’s when he says Sheets returned and shot him in the head.

He tells state police he awoke again and walked away from the house, disoriented. He was discovered in a cornfield around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and taken to a hospital.

His condition wasn’t immediately available.
