York City Hot Dog Week to kick off Saturday

Following the success of Restaurant Week and offshoot events such as Burger Week and Grilled Cheese Week, the York City Independent Restaurant Association will showcase another American cuisine classic over the next week.

York City Hot Dog Week will kicked off last Saturday and will run through this Saturday, with 14 restaurants serving up more than 30 exclusive, off-menu franks.

York City Hot Dog Week runs from July 22 through July 29.

The Busy Bee will have seven unique hot dogs on its menu, J.R.’s Fries at Central Market will have five new hot dogs and Collusion Tap Works will have three exclusive options.

Central Family Restaurant, Holy Hound Taproom, Revival Social Club and White Rose Bar & Grill will each have two special hot dogs to offer.

Pop-up food stand King Brat also will serve two off-menu hot dogs during Hot Dog Week. King Brat will be at Liquid Hero Brewery at 50 E. North St. on Friday.

Bair’s Chicken, Rockfish Public House, Tutoni’s, Stadium Grille, Roosevelt Tavern and Roost Uncommon Kitchen each will be focusing their efforts on one signature dog throughout the week.
