York City fire displaces six
Three adults and three children are displaced following a fire Sunday in York City.
Fire crews were dispatched at 2:20 p.m. to the 900 block of West Poplar Street for a reported structure fire with possible entrapment. Responding units arrived on the scene with fire showing from second-floor windows. After a search of the building, the responders confirmed no one was trapped inside.
York Fire and Rescue Deputy Chief Chad Deardorff said the origin of the fire is suspected to be in 902 W. Poplar St., with extension into 900. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
No injuries to residents or firefighters were reported.
