Teen summer program creates art at library

John A. Pavoncello
York Dispatch

Instead of spending their summer library program inside, the teens at Kreutz Creek Valley Library are creating art.

The teens, with help from teen services staffer Jennifer Johnson, are creating a "plarn" bombing on a fence behind the library.

Plarn is created by cutting plastic grocery bags into strips and then weaving it similar to yarn. The plarn is then woven through the openings of a chain link fence to create a design.

The teens are expected to work on the project over the next six weeks.
