Diaz-Prespeno was in critical condition Monday, Bankert said, and it appears her condition has not improved.

The car that struck her was driven by Luis Angel Velasquez of West Philadelphia Street, police said.

Velasquez stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers, Bankert said.

Police continue to investigate, according to Bankert, who asked witnesses to come forward if they haven't already spoken with police.

Anyone who saw the crash is asked to call police at 717-846-1234, or text "yorktips" and information to 847-411.
