Parents are required to register their children at City Hall. No phone registrations will be accepted, according to the release.

The six-week summer playground program runs from June 19 through July 27 at Allen Park, Yorktown Park, Bantz Park, the Memorial Park Complex and the James E. Gross Park, formerly known as Lincoln Park.

Children ages 6 to 13 can participate in the program, which meets from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday each week, according to the release.

York City residents must pay $25 to register one child and $20 for each additional child in the program. The program will cost noncity residents $55 to register one child and $50 for each additional child, according to the release.

For a small additional cost, children in the program can participate in field trips each week, including pool days on Tuesdays and roller skating on Wednesdays.

Children in the program will receive a free lunch each day the program meets, according to the release.
