Carlisle Road reopens after vehicle fire

The southbound lanes of Carlisle Road reopened at 3:33 p.m., according to a York County 911 supervisor.


A vehicle fire has forced emergency officials to shut down both southbound lanes on Carlisle Road (Route 74) at the White Street intersection in West Manchester Township.

Crews were called to the intersection for the fire at 1:13 p.m., according to the York County 911 Center.

An oversized vehicle is on fire there, and billowing thick smoke, according to a reporter at the scene.

Both southbound lanes are closed down, a 911 supervisor confirmed. Northbound traffic should expect to be delayed as well.
