York County is under a flood advisory until 1:30 p.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service.

Up to 2 inches of rain has already fallen in the area, the weather service said, and minor flooding has been reported in the southern portion of central Pennsylvania.

Flooding is expected in York, Harrisburg and Gettysburg.

The weather service said the steady rain should taper off shortly, but scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible throughout the afternoon.
