A row house fire in York City displaced eight people on Easter morning.

At 10:42 a.m., the York City Department of Fire responded to a fire call at 760 W. Market St., according to the department’s Facebook page.

When firefighters arrived, the second floor of the residence was engulfed in flames and was quickly spreading to the neighboring home at 758 W. Princess St, according to the post.

The fire originated from the second floor and was caused by hot ashes left on a charcoal grill. The fire was accidental, the post states.
