Walk with dinosaurs at Jurassic Quest in York
Have you ever imagined what it might have been like to cuddle a baby dinosaur, to look into the mouth of a velociraptor or stand next to a stegosaurus?
You can check all of those things off your bucket list at Jurassic Quest at the York Expo Center this weekend.
“We are a traveling dinosaur exhibit and essentially a children’s museum,” said Jurassic Quest media coordinator Angela LeBlanc. The exhibit boasts more than 80 ultra-realistic, life-size animatronic dinosaurs and offers the public a chance to walk among them within Jurassic, Triassic and Cretaceous environments.
Dino babies, dino science stations, fossil digs, dino rides and more will be offered over the three-day event Friday through Sunday at the Utz Arena.
“The exhibit is animatronic and moving and you hear the roaring and the lights will be down — it’s a lot of fun,” LeBlanc said.
“The babies,” LeBlanc added, “that’s my favorite part. They’re so real.”
The show runs from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
