FAA investigating emergency landing in Codorus Twp. field

A small plane made an emergency landing Thursday evening in a Codorus Township field.

The plane landed in the area of Sticks Road and Mummert Road, according to York County 911.
According to a statement from the Federal Aviation Administration, a Cessna C162 aircraft landed in the a field in that area at about 6:35 p.m. Thursday.
It had taken off from Lancaster Airport and was headed to the Carroll County Regional Airport in Westminster, Maryland, when it experienced an engine-related problem.
No injuries or fires were reported, according to 911 dispatches.
The FAA is investigating the incident.
