National Weather Service Meteorologist Mike Dangelo said overnight rain will likely turn into snow around dawn and could continue falling into the early afternoon.

Forecasts show 1 or 2 inches of snow accumulation throughout the county, though it could reach 3 inches in areas of higher elevation, Dangelo said.

He added that the temperatures, with a projected high near 43 on Friday, could melt the snow as it's falling and will likely prevent the snow from sticking on the roads.

The National Weather Service is also currently projecting snow for Monday, though Dangelo said that snowstorm looks like it will move south past the county.
