How low can it go? Windy days ahead will make temps feel even colder

Spring was in the air as attendees walked through moonlit garden displays and looked over various water features Sunday during the Pennsylvania Garden Show of York at the York Expo Center.

More than 100 vendors worked the show, and 11 area landscapers laid out their displays in Memorial Hall.

Erick Jacobus, of Red Lion, the son of show promoter Rick Jacobus, said between 7,000 and 8,000 people attended the show.

Paula and Lee Norris, of Harrisburg, paused to take cellphone photos as they looked at the various displays.

"Our son is getting married in May, so we're getting ideas," Lee Norris said. "We're also big gardeners, and it kind of gets the gardening adrenaline going a bit."

On the final day of the 2017 show, Jacobus said that ideas for next year's show are already being discussed — such as a possible wine in the garden theme — but nothing is set at this point.
