York Builders Association Home & Garden Show
Drills whirred, and hammers pounded as businesses began Wednesday to piece together their displays for this weekend's 2017 York Builders Association Home & Garden Show at the York Fairgrounds.

"I hope they don't expect cabinets to be installed this fast," said Mitch Oberly, of Red Rose Cabinetry Inc., as he worked to build a display for the show. He said the display is quickly torn down and re-assembled for events about six to seven times each year.
York Builders administrator Wendy Kadish said the show will host a job fair from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, as well hold a charity fundraiser, “The Great Outdoors Giveaway,” which will benefit Leg Up Farm with 100 percent of the proceeds. Participating businesses have donated materials for outdoor living and adventure packages that will be auctioned off in a raffle at 3 p.m. Sunday. Those interested may purchase tickets at the Leg Up Farm booth during the three-day show.
The show will run from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday; and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
