State hosting heroin and opioid telephone town hall
The state will hold a telephone town hall meeting Tuesday to discuss the heroin and opioid epidemic in the south-central region, according to a release from Sen. Scott Wagner, R-Spring Garden Township.
The town hall, which will begin at 6:30 p.m., is the fourth regional meeting held on the epidemic, and its focus will include York, Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster and Lebanon counties.
The meeting will be hosted by Sen. Gene Yaw, R- Bradford, Lycoming, Sullivan, Susquehanna and Union counties, and include York County Coroner Pam Gay, Sgt. John Burkhart, of the Lancaster County Drug Task Force, and Barry Denk, director of the Center for Rural Pennsylvania.
