Coroner IDs city pedestrian fatality

The York County Coroner's Office has identified a pedestrian who was struck and killed in York City on Tuesday night.

A vehicle struck Larry Warner, 79, of Windsor, while he was crossing the street about 7 p.m. on the 100 block of West Princess Street, according to the coroner's office.

Warner was reportedly walking with family members to a sporting event to see his granddaughter play basketball, the coroner's report states.

He was taken to York Hospital and died at 9:29 p.m., the office said.

York City Police are investigating the incident, and the driver of the vehicle is cooperating, according to the coroner.

An autopsy at Lehigh Valley Hospital on Wednesday determined Warner's cause of death was multiple blunt-force injuries, with the manner accidental, according to the coroner.
