York County residents overwhelmingly supported Donald Trump's presidential bid, and those residents will have a chance to travel to Washington, D.C., in January for his inauguration.

York-based Bailey Coach will offer round-trip motorcoach transportation for the occasion on Jan. 20, 2017, for $35 per person.

John Bailey, president of the travel company, said the company would have offered the service no matter who won the election.

Bailey Coach offered transportation to both of President Barack Obama's inauguration ceremonies. Bailey said all 10 of the company's buses, which carry 50 people, were reserved for Obama's first inauguration.

That inauguration and a trip to Philadelphia for Pope Francis' visit last year were the most popular the company has seen, Bailey added.

Bailey said two groups have helped to reserve two buses for Trump's inauguration so far, and he expects to send at least six or seven buses to RFK Stadium for the day.

Attendees will need to make their own plans regarding further travel within Washington, D.C.

One of the groups that has made reservations so far is the Adams County Republican Committee.

Committee member Bob Miller said it will be his first time attending a presidential inauguration.

Miller said he's excited about Trump because he's not a lifelong politician, so he hasn't been tainted by years of political pandering.

The committee hopes to gather about 50 people to ride with Bailey Coach for the event.

Those interested in making reservations can call Bailey at (717) 718-0490 or email tiffany@baileycoach.com.
