York City to hold 2017 budget hearings

  • The hearings will be held at 6 p.m. on Nov. 9, Nov. 10 and Nov. 14 in City Council chambers.

York City officials will look to finalize the 2017 spending plan after holding three budget hearings over the next two weeks.

City Council will take testimony from city department staff for budget requests next Wednesday and Thursday and Monday, Nov. 14. The hearings will be held in City Council chambers at 101 S. George St. and will begin at 6 p.m. each night.

The hearings also will be shown live on White Rose Community Television, according to a news release from York City Mayor Kim Bracey.

The public is encouraged to attend the hearings and submit comments on the proposed budget to City Hall.
