Coroner: Driver died from heart attack in Peach Bottom crash
An Adams County man, who swerved off the road in Peach Bottom Township Wednesday night, died from an apparent heart attack, according to the York County Coroner's Office.
David Bretzman, 58, was on his way home from work at about 6:50 p.m. when he was witnessed swerving off the road into an embankment in the area of the 900 block of Paper Mill Road, the coroner's report states.
Bretzman was not wearing a seatbelt, but had no traumatic injuries, according to the report, and his car had minor damage.
First responders found him in cardiac arrest at the scene and attempted resuscitative measures, but he died after being transported to York Hospital, the report states.
State police in Loganville are investigating the incident, and next of kin has been notified. There will be no autopsy, according to the coroner.
