Central York school bus involved in Manchester Twp. crash
A Central York School District bus was involved in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Manchester Township, according to a statement on the district's website.
Emergency officials were dispatched to the corner of Lewisberry Road and Sinking Springs Lane about 7 a.m., and a York County 911 dispatcher said the crash involved injuries.
Eight students were on the bus as the time of the crash, according to the statement, and one was taken by parents for additional evaluation because of shoulder pain.
There were no major injuries, and the drivers of the two vehicles were unharmed, the statement says, but both vehicles had "significant" front-end damage from the crash.
Parents and guardians transported the students to school. Northern York County Regional Police Department is still investigating.
"The safety and security of our students, faculty and staff is our utmost concern, and we are incredibly grateful that no serious injuries were sustained by the drivers and students involved in the crash," the statement reads.
Durham Transportation will investigate the driver and bus per protocol, the statement adds.
A Central York School District spokeswoman did not immediately respond to a request for more information.
