Fire consumes barn in Dallastown fire

York Dispatch

Smoke from the fire that consumed a barn off of Oak Road was visible for miles Sunday afternoon.

While most York County residents were out enjoying the gorgeous weather this Labor Day weekend, fire, police and rescue personnel were busy trying to salvage as much as they could from a barn engulfed in flames at 355 Oak Road near Dallastown.

The call came  at about 3:05 p.m., according to the York County 911 center.

Early reports were that no people or animals were inside the barn at the time of the blaze, but the barn contained several tractors and other pieces of farm equipment.
