22-year-old Red Lion motorcyclist killed in York City

A 22-year-old Red Lion motorcyclist was killed in a York City crash Sunday afternoon.

David Telp Jr., of Danbury Drive, was riding east on Prospect Street near Vander Avenue around 1 p.m. when “a second vehicle collided with Telp's motorcycle,” according to a news release from the York County Coroner’s Office.

Telp was transported to York Hospital, where he died of his injuries at 3:12 p.m., the release states.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown.

York City Police are investigating.

The coroner’s office did not know the condition of the operator of the other vehicle, according to the release.
