Two Shrewsbury Township parks are getting an upgrade thanks to a $120,000 grant from the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, according to a township news release.

The township has begun utilizing the Community Conservation Partnerships Program grant to make improvements to Winchester and Windy Hill parks.

Improvements include renovation of a baseball field, construction of a basketball court, pedestrian walks, installation of playground equipment, ADA accessibility, landscaping and signs, the release states.

The township's manager could not be reached for further details.

Windy Hill Park is a 12.5-acre park along Windy Hill Road between Whitcraft and Bartenslager roads, while Winchester Park is a half-acre park on the south end of Winchester Drive near Fieldstone Circle, according to the township's website.
