A mother and daughter from Hazleton died after a four-vehicle accident in Washington Township Thursday night, according to the York County Coroner's Office.

Eighty-four-year-old Arlene M. Fulk died at the scene, at the intersection of Bermudian Church Road and Route 194, while her 53-year-old daughter Mary Fredorick was later pronounced dead at York Hospital, according to the coroner's reports.

Coroner Pam Gay said the two were in the same car with Fulk in the back seat and not wearing a seatbelt. Fredorick was in the front seat and was wearing a seatbelt, the report states.

Fredorick was flown from the crash, which occurred about 6:45 p.m., to York Hospital, where she died at about 8:45 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle survived, Gay added.

Fulk's and Fredorick's causes and manners of death are pending autopsies, which are scheduled for Saturday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, the reports state.

State police are investigating, according to the coroner's reports.
