PennDOT: Bull Road reopens
- Bull Road reopens after a two-month closure.
- Poplars Road will remain closed for another two weeks, PennDOT said.
State Department of Transportation officials announced Friday the reopening of Bull Road at the intersection of Poplars Road along the Manchester-West Manchester township line after more than 60 days of reconstruction.
The project remains ongoing, and motorists should expect single-lane restrictions with flaggers present to assist with the flow of traffic during the day on Bull Road. Poplars Road will remain closed for another two weeks, according to a PennDOT news release.
The $666,493 highway improvement project contracted to Highway Materials Inc., of Blue Ball, Lancaster County, is intended to improve the horizontal and vertical alignment of Bull Road to reduce sight distance deficiencies at the intersection of Bull and Poplars roads, the release said.
Motorists are reminded remain alert, obey work zone signs and slow down both for their safety and for the safety of other drivers and construction workers.
