Starting Monday, Aug. 1, kids will be able to eat for free again at IHOP in a effort to get families to spend time together before the summer ends.

According to a news release, children younger than 12 will have the opportunity to order off of the "Made for Fun" kids menu from 4 to 10 p.m. each day. On adult entree must be purchased to get one kid's meal for free.

The "Made for Fun" menu includes a new IHOP creation: a cheese pizza made with a croissant crust. Kids can also order classic favorites such as the Silver 5, which includes five silver-dollar-sized pancakes with a scrambled egg and hickory-smoked bacon, or the junior chicken and waffles.

The deal does not include drinks and cannot be used with any other discount or coupon.

“We know that families are looking to soak up the final days of summer together, and what better way to do that than over dinner together?" Kirk Thompson, senior vice president of marketing for IHOP, said in a news release. "IHOP and our franchisees invite guests to enjoy quality time together as a family while relishing the made-to-order breakfast foods, beverages and more that they crave and can only find at IHOP – now at an even better value with our Kids Eat Free offer."

Interested patrons can learn more by visiting IHOP's website or by calling their local IHOP.
