Early morning fog impacting York commute
Areas of dense fog throughout York County are reducing visibility and impacting the Thursday morning commute, according to the National Weather Service.
Conditions are expected to improve around 10 a.m., with fog dissipation likely by noon.
Motorists are reminded to use low-beam headlights or fog lights and keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front. Increased travel times and airport delays are expected.
The state Department of Transportation's traffic map shows traffic is moving slowly on Route 30 eastbound between the Interstate 83 interchange and Sherman Street and Route 30 westbound between the Whiteford Road exit and North Hills Road.
Once the fog clears, Thursday will be cloudy with a high near 73 and low around 60, according to NWS. Showers are likely after 2 a.m.
