Reps. Phillips-Hill, Klunk hosting anti-scam seminar
State Reps. Kate Klunk and Kristin Phillips-Hill are teaming up to offer a seminar for senior citizens on how to avoid becoming a victim of a scam.
The free fraud prevention seminar will be held 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, March 29 at the New Freedom Community Center, 150 E. Main St., according to a joint news release from Klunk, R-Hanover, and Phillips-Hill, R-York Township.
The seminar will include information on how to avoid becoming a victim of a scam and how to report scams to the authorities. Dave Sunday, a York County assistant district attorney, will give an overview scams targeting seniors.
The seminar is intended for seniors living in Klunk's and Phillips-Hill's districts, which includes the southern and southwestern parts of the county. Seating is limited and pre-registration is required.
