Police: Double shooting injures two women

Two women suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a shooting early morning Thursday, according to police.

Officers responded at that time to reports of a shooting; one victim was taken to a local hospital by ambulance, and the other showed up at a hospital in a private vehicle, according to a news release from police.

Police don't have any suspects in the double shooting, which they say was "specifically targeted."

"This incident was clearly not a random act," the release from police states, adding that the shooter or shooters knew the two women to be at that address at that time.

The York City Police Department is investigating; anybody with information is asked to call police at 846-1234 or text "yorktips" and then the tip to the city's anonymous tip line at 847411.
