DENVER, Pa. — A woman was shot in the neck inside her central Pennsylvania home by what police say was a stray bullet from a group of target shooters.

LNP reports the woman was in her home in East Cocalico Township Sunday afternoon when she was hit by the bullet.

Police said a group of people were target shooting about a mile away on a road parallel to the woman’s street.

The woman was taken to Reading Hospital where she was in stable condition Sunday night.

East Cocalico Township Officer Roger Kreiser says the incident appears to be an accident but it remains under investigation. No other details are available.
