Coroner: Airville man dies from crash

  • Hess, 25, was pronounced dead Sunday night from multiple blunt force trauma.

A 25-year-old Airville man died at York Hospital Sunday night, more than a week after being involved in a traffic crash in York Township, according to the York County Coroner's Office.

Daniel Hess, from the 1200 block of Muddy Creek Forks Road, was involved in the three-vehicle incident at approximately 2:25 a.m. on Feb. 20 on Springwood Road near School Street. Hess was the operator of one of the vehicles, according to the coroner.

Hess' cause of death was ruled to be multiple blunt force trauma due to being an unrestrained operator in a multi-vehicle accident. York Area Regional Police are investigating.
