I-83 south at Route 30 east exit closed
Ramp scheduled to be closed from 9-11 a.m.
The state Department of Transportation will close the Interstate 83 southbound ramp to Exit 21 for Route 30 eastbound from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday for repairs.
A PennDOT maintenance crew will patch the I-83 southbound bridge deck over Route 30 in Manchester Township, weather permitting, according to a department news release.
Along with the ramp closure, PennDOT will restrict I-83 southbound traffic to a single lane until repairs are complete, according to the release.
The section being affected averages more than 27,900 vehicles traveling per day, according to the release.
PennDOT advises motorists to allow additional time to travel in the area and use Exit 22 for Route 181 south to Route 30 east as an alternative route.
