WellSpan opens plastic surgery center in York
WellSpan is bringing what it calls innovative plastic and reconstructive surgery services to York County with the opening of its latest facility.
In a clinical collaboration with the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, WellSpan Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery has opened its doors at 296 St. Charles Way in York Township, according to a news release.
The partnership will bring Dr. Hooman Soltanian, an associate professor from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, to the facility, according to the release.
Soltanian holds a medical degree from the University of Munich School of Medicine and has performed residencies in Germany and New York, the release states.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has performed advanced surgical procedures at York Hospital.
“Dr. Soltanian’s outstanding expertise and track record will allow patients to receive leading-edge plastic and reconstructive surgery,” Dr. Karen Jones, senior vice president of WellSpan Health and president of WellSpan Medical Group, stated in the news release.
Soltanian also applauded the news, adding that the facility will achieve much more than superficial results.
“We are able to help patients achieve a level of physical and emotional functionality following mastectomy,” he said in the release.
