Following a recall by the producer, Giant Food Stores announced Monday that it is removing certain packages of frozen fish sticks from its shelves.

The grocery chain has unstocked packages of Kidfresh Fun-tastic Fish Sticks, after Kidfresh recalled the product because milk, a potential allergen, is not included on the list of ingredients, according to a news release.

The recall applies to 7.4-ounce packages of the fish sticks with the UPC 8-1088201003-1 and best-by dates of May 31, 2018, July 2, 2018, and July 22, 2018, according to the release.

No illnesses have been reported because of the products, the release states.

Though the products are safe for those who do not have milk allergies, customers who purchased the product should discard any unused portion and take their purchase receipt to any Giant location for a full refund.

For more information about the recall, customers can call Kidfresh at 800-365-4337 (800-DO-KIDFRESH) or email info@kidfresh.com. Customers also can contact Giant Food Stores customer service at 888-814-4268 for more information.
