Dallastown Physics Olympics returning next month

Dallastown Area High School will host its 26th annual Physics Olympics event over two days next month.

Students will compete following the opening ceremonies at the Dallastown Area High School auditorium Tuesday, Feb. 27, starting at 3:15 p.m. and running until 6 p.m., with games continuing Wednesday, Feb. 28, in the same time frame.

More than 100 students from Dallastown and other nearby districts have participated in past competitions, according to a news release.

Students compete in teams of five and go through 10 physics-related events, with cash prizes for winners ranging from $50-$150.

The deadline for students to apply for the event is Feb. 7. The games are open to the public.
