Northeastern school board member resigns
A member of the Northeastern school board has resigned less than two years into his term.
Tyler Kramlick, a member of the board since December 2015, resigned on Friday, Sept. 22, according to his resignation letter.
In the letter, Kramlick cited a “career advancement” that requires frequent travel as the reason for his departure.
He is listed as an employee at Legends, a hospitality company that contracts with the Lancaster Barnstormers, according to the Northeastern school board website.
“It has been an honor and privilege to serve on the school board of this great district,” he said. “I wish everyone nothing but the best and will continue to support the district in any way that I can.”
The school board has 30 days to appoint another member, according to the Public School Code.
Northeastern board secretary and district Director of Operations Brian Geller confirmed receipt of the resignation letter and said Kramlick's resignation will be on the agenda for board action at the next school board meeting Monday, Oct. 2.
Board President Margie Walker and board Vice President Linda Morningstar could not be reached for comment.
