One man dead, another injured after West York Borough shooting

One man is dead and another man is injured following a shooting Friday night in West York. 

Officers are currently investigating the shooting that took place around 8:20 p.m. Friday near the Carriage Works Apartments in the first block of Highland Avenue, West York Borough Police Chief Matt Millsaps said Saturday morning. 

“Yesterday evening, two individuals who were meeting other people on the street by Carriage Works were shot, one fatally, in what we believe is a targeted attack,” Millsaps said.

Millsaps said suspects in the case were known to the victims.

The two men who were shot, both in their early 20s, were transported to WellSpan York Hospital, Millsaps said. The man who survived the shooting was in stable condition Saturday, Millsaps said. 

No names related to the case are being released at this time, he said. 

Millsaps said anyone with information about the shootings is asked to call West York Borough Police at (717) 854-1975.
