Cash reward offered for information about York homicide of Quinton Jacobs
A cash reward is being offered for information that helps York City detectives solve last summer's homicide of Quinton Jamal Jacobs, police said.
Jacobs, 31, of East Poplar Street in York City, was found dead about 12:40 a.m. July 30 in the 1000 block of East Market Street, according to police, who said he was shot while outside.
Known as "Q," Jacobs died of multiple gunshot wounds, the York County Coroner's Office has said.
Police issued a news release Wednesday, saying, "We are asking for assistance so we may bring justice and closure to Q's grieving family."
Anyone with any information about Jacobs' homicide is urged to contact police, who said tipsters can always remain anonymous.
To submit a tip, contact Detective First Class Andy Baez at email@example.com or at 717-654-5264. Or call the city's crime tip line at 717-849-2204, or the police department's front desk, 717-846-1234.
Tipsters can also submit information through CrimeWatch PA by going to www.crimewatchpa.com and clicking on "submit a tip" at the top right of the home page.
About Jacobs: Jacobs was the kind of person who made sure those around him were happy and living in the moment, his obituary states — whether he was dancing, playing basketball or riding four-wheelers.
"He had dreams of building an empire and generational wealth with a passion for real estate," according to his obituary.
His survivors include a daughter, a son, parents and siblings.
