A York City man has been sentenced to state prison for shooting a teenager on Labor Day 2018.

Infinite Ka Corbett entered into a negotiated plea agreement with York County prosecutors on Oct. 28 in which he pleaded guilty to the felonies of aggravated assault and carrying a firearm without a license, according to court records.

In exchange, a felony charge of attempted homicide and two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment were withdrawn, records state.

He was sentenced to 1½ to three years in state prison and given credit for the 207 days he has already spent in York County Prison, court records state.

Corbett, 19, who at the time lived in the 600 block of West King Street, shot a teen on the block about 1:30 p.m. Sept. 3, 2018, according to York City Police.

Multiple wounds: The teen, who was not identified by police, suffered gunshot wounds to his torso, shoulder and hand, according to court documents. Officers found him in the 100 block of South Belvidere Avenue, and he was taken to a local hospital by ambulance.

Hospital staff determined a bullet was lodged in the teen's liver and that bullet fragments were in his chest and arm, according to police, who said the teen also suffered fractures to an arm and finger during the shooting.

Officers found a loaded 9mm handgun and spent shell casings on the sidewalk in the 600 block of West King Street, police said.

According to court documents, Corbett, who was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, pulled a handgun from his pocket and shot the teen while the victim was standing on the sidewalk.

Ducked behind car: Corbett then ducked behind a parked car and continued shooting, causing the injured teen to pull his own gun from his waistband, police said.

The teen shooting victim dropped his gun before fleeing the block, according to police.

Investigators reviewed video surveillance footage from the area, and York City Detective Andy Baez recognized Corbett, who had been one victim of a quadruple shooting in late July of that same year, according to police.

Corbett was shot in the chest about 12:15 a.m. July 29, 2018, in the first block of East Maple Street.

Two men in their 20s were shot as well, police said — Anthony Lopez suffered wounds to his chest and arm, and Fernando Maysonet was shot in the hand. A 16-year-old male was shot in the abdomen and hand, according to police.
