Police: Crash cleared on I-83 northbound near Emigsville

5:15 p.m. update: State police said the crash on northbound Interstate 83 near the Emigsville exit (Exit 24) has been cleared.

2:40 p.m. update: The crash on Interstate 83 southbound near Route 30 involving a tractor-trailer has been cleared, according to 511pa.com.

A second crash on I-83 northbound about a mile south of Exit 24, Emigsville, has not yet been cleared.

Reported earlier: Two crashes are affecting traffic on both lanes on Interstate 83 Wednesday.

PennDOT's traffic website 511pa.com reported a crash near the on ramp for I-83 at Route 30. All southbound lanes were closed as of 2 p.m., according to 511pa.com.

A second crash happened about a mile south of Exit 24, Emigsville, on I-83 northbound, about 1:50 p.m. according to the website. All lanes are closed, according to 511pa.com

Traffic cameras show a tractor-trailer blocking the southbound lanes in the crash near Route 30. Southbound lanes are open beyond the Market Street exit, according to the website. 

York County 911 reported that crash shortly after noon Wednesday, Oct. 16.

Traffic on Route 30 east bound is backed up near the ramp, according to 511pa.com.
