Police: Red Lion man used bleach-soaked rag in rape attempt
A Red Lion man is accused of attempting to rape a woman Friday night, according to state police.
About 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, Abraham Perez, 22, held a bleach-soaked rag to a woman's face to quiet her while he tried to rape her inside a Red Lion home, police said.
Additionally, Perez punched, scratched and tried to choke her every time she tried to leave, police said.
Perez is charged with attempted rape, sexual assault, false imprisonment and strangulation, all of which are felonies. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of simple assault.
Police said the victim had scratches and marks on her neck and chin, and Perez had blood on the inside of his fingernails on both hands.
As of Tuesday, Oct. 15, Perez remained in York County Prison on $75,000 bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 25 at District Judge John H. Fishel's office.
