A man escaped injury earlier this week when he was robbed at gunpoint in Spring Garden Township by three teens on bicycles, police said.

It happened at 10:55 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, in the 500 block of West Jackson Street, according to Spring Garden Township Police.

A 21-year-old man was walking west when three high-school-age males approached him on bicycles, police said.

Two of them were brandishing handguns, and all three teens forced the man to give them his cellphone and a vaping pen, according to police.

The trio of robbers then fled east on West Jackson Street, police said.

One of the robbers was wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt, police said.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the robbers' identities is asked to contact township Detective James Hott at jhott@sgtpd.org.
